Eric Ferguson has worked with collegiate & professional athletes for over 20 years and has personally trained his staff to do the same. Our exercise scientists assists healthy athletes by improving their performances, and help injured players return to sports faster than traditional methods.

 

ABOUT THE CONTINUUM METHOD

The Continuum Method is an integrated muscle correction and exercise method designed to tap into hidden strength, mobility, and performance. Our three-step process allows us to determine if your sport, yoga, Pilates, weight training or any activity is pushing you toward better health and performance or toward injury, inflammation and decreased performance. Our job is to discover where your body is hiding imbalances and then deploy customized techniques to improve stability and mobility. While most forms of traditional intervention focus on alleviating the symptoms of pain and muscle tightness, we use Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) to focus on improving muscle function. We find that this approach both solves the original problem and provides a more permanent solution. 

We use data to design customized exercise challenges for your unparalleled fitness program. This exclusive combination of tools gives us ongoing feedback to assess where you are on the continuum and ensure you are trending toward increased health, mobility, and performance. 

 

RECOVERING FROM INJURIES

In general, injuries from sport can be categorized into "contact" and "non-contact" injuries. By using our method, non- contact injuries do NOT have to exist in sports. Pulling a hamstring while running, straining a muscle when throwing or hitting a ball, or injuring an area from exercise are just a few examples that are preventable with the help of our exercise scientists. 

Exercise injuries are NOT caused by incorrect form or by an "unsafe" exercise. These and other non-contact injuries are caused by preexisting muscle imbalances that are difficult to see or feel. Check for them, correct them, and then challenge them.
